Best Brainwaves for Visualizing?

November 30, 2007

Are you like me? That kind of analytical mind, quite sharp, but totally unable to “see” a thing in your mind?

When I close my eyes and try to visualize something – there is usually that comfy velvet darkness. And some slight flickers and sparks. Images? Vivid colors? HD movies like some folks can easily project on their internal TV screen? No way.

I found it quite hard for me to change that and learn to “see” images (geometrical figures, timeline events, things to “manifest”, the faces of beloved people, or the simple heavy repository box from the Hemi-Sync exercises…) – and the first real successes I had was after using certain brainwave sessions.

So let me ask you a question: what are YOU using to make the internal imagery more vivid (or make it appear at all…) ???

So far I had the best results with the first edition of “OptiMINDzation” from Stephen Pierce (no matter if you like the guy or not…), and some of the Meta-Music editions from the Monroe Institute (like “Breath of Creation”).

But I am still looking for the ultimate tool to crack open the visual capabilities of my mind. Maybe just patience and exercise is needed, but I would love if we could exchange a few ideas what works best for this purpose!

Thanks and happy visualizing! ;-)

CD Two

Alpha Waves: Ocean Surf Relaxation

Soothing sounds of the Pacific Ocean rolling onto the shores of Olympic National Park combined with Alpha brainwave pulses leads you to states of rejuvenating relaxation.

CD Three

Theta Waves: Rainforest Meditation

Lush sounds of the Brazilian Rainforest combined with Theta brainwave pulses will help you to clear your mind and guide you easily to states deep meditation.

CD Four

Beta Waves: Cool River

The sounds of a cool mountain river combined with high Beta brainwave pulses will uplift your spirit and heighten your mental performance, focus and concentration.

Personal note: I have NOT (yet) tried these. Anyone has them and would like to share experiences? Sometimes I like the “themed” CDs, because I can choose from many and fit my current mood / situation / purpose of my meditation (if any). But usually I prefer the “pure” tones (or minimalistic sound “camouflage” around the waves), they are more efficient for me. More on that in an article later today.

Turn. Down. The Volume.

November 27, 2007

Heheh – just had to experience it myself again: a lot of people new to “brainwave stuff” make the mistake to listen to the sessions WAY too loud.

Why is that no good?

Two reasons:

1. If you “hammer” the binaural beats and the carrier tones into your ears and brain, you just get a headache. Or tinnitus. Or something. And no meditative states at all. Size/volume does not matter in that case – actually it is counterproductive.

2. If you use a guided meditation, are deep in trance, and there is a pause in the vocal track, the sudden assault of the voice after the pause can have a really unpleasant startling effect “Whoohooo???!? WTF? Who am I, where am I, and WHY the f*** is this voice so frigging loud and WHERE the heck does it come from???”.

So: better turn down the volume. Way more healthy and effective.

Most sessions can be listened to at a level where the voice can JUST be understood, more like a whisper. Your senses will be more alert during meditation anyways, so you probably won’t miss a thing.

I wish you pleasant meditations without any shock effects! ;-)

Black Friday? Get out of the Shopping-Hypnosis!!

November 27, 2007

Oh my Gosh… The holiday season is coming. I neeeeed gifts! Oh, really?

“Cyber Monday”. And now “Black Friday” is getting closer. Lotsa “special offers”, “one-time off”, “ONLY today” and of course “limited supplies – so ACT fast!”-crap.

So really: lets get out of the hypnosis, shopping addicts. This everyday hypno-talk of the sales- and marketing-guys is plain BS and only works, because most of us are unaware of the mechanisms that are at work and fall for the “herd” instincts and other triggers we have been trained on.

A rather funny approach has Wendi Friesen, whom I like a lot: she sells us (with a healthy discount on Black Friday, I guess… ;-) ) a new CD that will take you OUT of the buying-frenzy and the get-it-now hypnotic state.

This might be a life saver (or at least the saviour of your credit card’s credit line…) for many out there!

So rush to Wendi.com and get the CD “Just Say No – The End to Compulsive Shopping” NOW – she might pull the offer anytime!! Hurry! NOW!!

*errrr*, ok.
You know what is best for you and when to do it.
Namaste.

Brainwave Symphony

Brainwave Symphony

Customer Review: This CD Set Meets ALL Expectations!
My wife was privileged to work under Pat Moffit Cook and we were thrilled to see Brainwave Symphony on the shelves when it was released. We have heard…

My Personal Note: Dr. Jeffrey Thompson is one of the best in the field of music combined with brainwaves. The “Symphony” takes you through different states, deeply relaxing, and the music is not just the usual “ok lets hide the waves somehow..”-crap. This is NOT for the hardcore-brainwaver who wants to push and train, but for those who sometimes just want to relax and daydream – while still giving their thinking-muscle a jog…. Great Stuff!

Brainwave Meditation

November 26, 2007

Brainwave Meditation – one of the easiest way to meditate.

Reach the deepest levels of meditation. Obtain clarity and insight. Experience mind-still blissful peace. Now you can quickly reach depths of meditation that would otherwise take years of practice to attain.
BrainSync’s precision-engineered frequencies massage your brain into mind-still blissful states of peace. With this program 87% of research subjects who never meditated before were able to enter the theta state in their very first session.

Guided Meditation: Kelly Howell guides you to create your own inner healing sanctuary, a place where you can go to revitalize the very core of your being. You will learn how to generate states of being that nurture your sense of self, your creativity, and the dynamic expression of your power in the world.

Deep Meditation: Completely free of spoken words, this program delivers a unique combination of brainwave frequencies that produce an extraordinary mind-awake/body-asleep state. Negative thoughts are dramatically swept away by brilliant flashes of insight and understanding as you experience untold depths of inner peace.

Clinical studies show that theta meditation increases creativity, enhances cognition, deepens perception, aids in overcoming substance abuse, and awakens intuition. In just 30 minutes you’ll reap the same powerful benefits meditation masters have documented for millennium. The results are profound. This 2-CD extra value package includes both Guided Meditation and Deep Meditation at a special price.

Remarks: For me personally Kelly Howell and her voice are a bit too “esotheric” in the negative sense of the word. Just too much angels, “god” (pronounced with that slightly slimey voice…) and so on… But for others exactly THIS is what helps them jump over the fence. So however – what helps to open up the horizon and works is just fine. ;-)

German? Got something for you.

November 24, 2007

This is not my main blog. And English is not my first language. Obviously.

I run kind of a scrapbook here, and there will be lots of interesting posts, links and products in here.

But the main stuff, the diary of my own journey towards and beyond my intellectual, mental and spiritual “boundaries” (which of course are non-existent, but sometimes feel damn real) – that will be in my main blog, and will be written in German.

The series will start during the next days. I will rather openly describe my challenges, my findings, my successes and temporary setbacks. Maybe you can learn from it, maybe you can just watch and have fun… ;-)

Check my “Elvish Rantings”-blog regularly during the next weeks and months – there will be many insights and more in-depth articles together with some first-hand experiences walking the path of inner insight, spiritual growth and “better life” using the tools of brainwave entrainment (mainly HemiSync and HoloSync programs) and hypnosis (using various sessions, among others from Hans-Peter Zimmermann (hpz.com) and Wendi Friesen (English and loads of good stuff for all of you!).

See you over there!

Thoughtstream GSR Biofeedback System & Mental Games

November 23, 2007

Thoughtstream GSR Biofeedback System & Mental Games

Personal Biofeedback you can use at home. The ThoughtStream is the world’s first complete personal biofeedback training system. Biofeedback allows you to see, feel or hear mind/body processes that we normally aren’t consciously aware of or able to voluntarily control. It has long been accepted as one of the most effective tools available for stress control and other personal growth benefits.

In the past, biofeedback was something only available by visiting a professional with hourly rates or by purchasing very expensive clinical models. The ThoughtStream is a galvonic skin response GSR biofeedback training system that you can use at home.

The stress we experience at home and at work has a large impact on our well-being, but our normal methods of responding to stressful events are habits that can be changed after we become more aware of them. Learning to fully relax while under pressure can have a profoundly beneficial influence on all aspects of life.

The Thoughtstream can give you a new level of self-understanding when your responses are seen or heard as they happen. The ThoughtStream is designed for travel: lightweight, attractive, with a unique palm of the hand sensor.

A handsome carrying case, headphones, manual, Mental Games software and everything else that you need to get started is included! The training modules of Mental Games ‘sense’ how focused or relaxed you are and will vary their response according to your internal state. By using this combination of multimedia technology and biofeedback, you enter a new dimension of self mastery.

You may soon notice that you are more relaxed in your everyday life, being present and focused without “burning out.” Two sets of levels are included with Mental Games. Level one is a group of conventional biofeedback exercises. Here you can move objects on the screen as you learn to relax your body and focus your mind. Level two consists of a number of independent modules designed to actively train your responses.
